Hometown: Chicago, IL
I'm passionate about: providing for my family and growing children.
If I wasn't a provider, I would be: an architect for a theme/amusement park as I grew up loving rollercoasters.
I became a doctor because: there has always been a strong influence in my family since I was a child. I have many physicians in my family who have all supported my decision to become a gastroenterologist, and I have always known this was the ideal profession for me.
Something I have learned from my patients is: that similar diagnosis between patients may present different symptoms, and a thorough review of medical history is crucial.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is: that I am always improving my endoscopic skills, especially colonoscopies which offer a unique challenge with every patient encounter.
The best thing I have done for my health is: taking up hot yoga at Lifetime Fitness. It has allowed me to be more centered, find my Zen and improve my energy.
Practice philosophy: To treat every patient as if they were my family, and ensure they have a clear understanding about their medical diagnosis and treatment plans.
